PMD ROM Hacking News of 27th february 2022
Yep, it took quite some time for this one. I wrote a bit more at the end of the article.
Announcement of Pikachu's Great Adventure

So this is my first time trying to make a full rom hack, so it may not be too great, but this is my first demo of Pikachu's Great Adventure! (title may be subject to change)
There will be more demos in the future when I get better at scripting and all that, and there's many aspects of the hack that have yet to be decided, but the gist of it is that a man gets transported to the Pokémon World to save the world. No more, no less.
Something else of note is that the game will be arbitrarily harder, with the starting levels of everything being 50 and above, and most dungeons being at least 10 floors.
Let me know if there's anything I can improve on!

Patch to disable break-taking in PSMD

No context PSMD patch to disable that “taking a break” feature that prevents you from bringing some allies at random into dungeons every day
The original patch is for the European version, but he made another version for the USA version
Patch instruction are included in the file, but my be a bit hard to follow. You'll need to extract the code.bin file with some utility (ctrtool or godmode9), apply the patch with armips, and re-apply the modified code.bin with citra's or luma's layered FS feature

The first public MysteryMail is finished. MysteryMail is an exquisite corpse made in Explorers of Sky. The first event has finished, with the result being titled “Blooming Chaos”, being published.

Hi. It's me. I bet some yall forgot about me after my halloween hack. Well I've actually been working on a couple of rom hacks, but they were mostly small updates and I didn't feel comfortable posting it here. I decided to make my own server for said rom hacks and also have the ability to more easily have discussions about that.
So here we are! The server was just freshly made and I'm still working on it. You can join if you are curious about my roms, want to see / get help with spriting related stuff or are just bored and got nothing better to do.
new WIP hack : PMD: Explorers of Pain

Heres the first 2 chapters for my first ROM hack, PMD explorers of pain. If you're curious what this is, it's basically a huge corruption of the main story, along with a difficulty increase. Got told some stuff was broken. If xdelta doesn't work, try an online patcher. (Side note: the ROM i was using to make this is a little bugged, so unionall will not work if you try to open it. I'll release a fixed version when I figure out the issue

Commentary video about Blue Rescue Team
My first video game review has arrived, for better or for worse! Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team is a game I love dearly that got me into a franchise I'd become much too obsessed with, but will over fifty minutes of a (not really) blue monster rambling about the game be able to convince YOU to play it? Not sure about that, but I hope you enjoy watching anyway!
Whether or not you end up finishing this video, I'd greatly appreciate some feedback. Don't want all my videos to blow, right?

Hi, just letting you know that we have split rule 4 in two and reworded it to make it clearer. You can read the new version in rules-and-roles.
the new section 4
4. Do NOT link to ROMs. No discussion on how to obtain ROMs (but links to help dump your own are allowed).
4b. Do not upload patches for ROM hacks without moderator approval (through @Magnezone (Modmail)). Links to patches are allowed, so long as those patches don't violate any other rules.

About this newsletter
About the long time for the article and unavaibility… The micro-sd card I used to store the website broke, and while I did have replacement micro-sd card, they were actually broken. I then figured that I could boot from USB, but I needed to change BIOS configuration… with a micro-sd. After some time, I just lended a server at OVH for 3.60€/month (I'll get this rasberry-pi up. But later.) Overall, it can server 5 times more page per second than the rasberry-pi. (and before this, I was on vacation, and it broke the day before I planned to publish it).
